As a former flight attendant, I have many years of experience in making packing a breeze and being prepared so you can enjoy your vacation. I have gone all over the world using only a carry-on tote and small carry-on suit-case.
Follow our tips and you’ll be on your way to having a worry-free summer vacation!
Use a packing list:
Forgetting an essential item is one of the biggest packing frustrations. We have created tips that you can use to eliminate your stress. I suggest you highlight each item on your list as it is packed. That way, you can be sure that you won't forget anything important. I also recommend packing small things in little zipper bags so they are easy to find when you need.
Your packing list should include everything you need for your trip, including items like clothes, toiletries, electronics and medications. You might also want to include items like snacks and a water bottle, so you can save money on food and drinks while you're away.
Using a list will help you pack efficiently, so you can avoid taking too much or too little with you.
Roll your clothes:
Rolling your clothes is a tried-and-true method for maximizing space in your suitcase.
Not only does it save space, but it can also help to prevent wrinkles in your clothes. To roll your clothes, simply fold them in half once, then roll them up from the bottom. Tightly packing your clothes in this way will help to conserve space and minimize wrinkles.
Invest in versatile pieces:
It's important to invest in versatile pieces that you can wear on a number of different occasions. A great example would be a flowy maxi dress - it can easily be dressed up or down, and is perfect for a day at the beach or a night out on the town.
Another key item to pack is a light jacket or cardigan. This can come in handy if the weather turns chilly or you're out and about late at night. Plus, it'll take up very little space in your bag. I always wear it while traveling to and from my vacation, this also creates more space in my suitcase.
If you're looking for versatile and stylish accessories, try a pair of our hoop earrings they are the perfect option. They can be dressed up or down, and is perfect for any summer occasion.
Choose comfortable shoes:
It's always important to choose shoes that are both comfortable and stylish. You'll be doing a lot of walking, so it's crucial to make sure your shoes are up for the task. I try to coordinate my outfits so that I need to pack a minimal supply of shoes.
wedges | sandals | espadrilles
Wedges are always a great choice because they offer height and extra stability. Sandals are perfect for hot weather and will keep your feet cool and comfortable. Espadrilles are a versatile option that can be dressed up or down, so they're perfect for any type of vacation.
Often, I ship clothing in large zipper bags. I always save these to put my shoes in for travel. I don't like the dirty soles of my shoes touching my pretty clothes.
Limit your jewelry:
When it comes to packing your jewelry, a little bit goes a long way. Try to stick to your essentials and leave the extra accessories at home. This will help keep your packing and planning simple.
If you're looking for versatile pieces that you can wear day or night, go for gold. Gold jewelry is perfect for any occasion and can easily be dressed up or down. Plus, it always looks polished and luxe.
If you're more of a silver person, mix and match different styles and textures to create a unique look. We love pairing a dainty necklace with a chunky ring or stacking multiple bracelets or layer neclaes for a fun summer vibe.
Don't forget the essentials:
It's easy to get carried away when packing for vacation, but it's important to remember the essentials. Make sure to pack your medications, passport, and other important documents, as well as sunglasses and sunscreen.
Don't forget to pack a swimsuit and cover-up, as well as sandals and flip-flops. If you're going to the beach, don't forget your beach accessories like a towel, tote, sunscreen, and maybe a collapsable cooler. And lastly, don't forget to pack your favorite beach read or magazine!
As long as you take the time to plan and pack smart, you'll be able to relax and enjoy your summer vacation without any worries. By following our packing tips, you'll have everything you need with you without overpacking or forgetting anything important.
